CANNABIS VENDOR ONBOARDING 101
Working with an unlicensed vendor is one of the quickest ways to have a cannabis license suspended or revoked since cannabis regulations across the country mandate that commercial cannabis activities only be conducted between licensees. Attorneys advising cannabis businesses, therefore, should ensure that sufficient due diligence is performed prior to working with a new vendor. At the very least, copies of all licenses, permits, and/or other authorizations required to legally operate should be provided by the vendor. The status of said licenses/authorizations should be maintained in a folder and continually monitored to ensure good standing.
